Before starting this review, I want to make sure you know the difference between a hydrating product and a nourishing one. It’s very simple: hydration = water/moisture, nourishment = oils/sebum. Of course, some products can be both! I’ve been trying this Golden Light Creme by Shamanuti and just by reading the ingredients you’ll understand why this product falls in both categories!
Its texture is buttery and it melts and gets aborved quite quickly by the skin. It’s recommended for the night but it can be used anytime, because you can put on a very thin layer in the morning for 0 residue and a thicker one for a more intensive treatment during the night. It has a relaxing scent and it’s good for all skins and seasons. It leaves a velvety soft feeling on the skin after just a few uses!
I also got some samples. The first two are the tinted moisturizers in honey (light) and sundance (dark). They are very liquid but give a creamy finish, have a pink undertone and look quite natural. I swatched both on their own (top of the pic) and mixed (bottom). It became very cloudy when I was swatching them, hence my grayish hand lol. I’d only improve the range of shades, because other than that they’re very lovely!
Finally, the limited edition Spring Masque with Bulgarian rose, a gommage that smells beautifully and has a cooling effect. It has a similar result to the brilliant exfoliation of the Pumpkin Masque, which I prefer because (a) the exfoliation is better and (b) it does not require mechanical action (rubbing) which is kinder on sensitive skins.
Still, the Pumpkin Masque is my absolute Shamanuti fav (absolute exfoliator fav actually) cause I’ve never tried something like it! I’m very excited about the hair range they’re developing because of the great taste they have for ingredients. I can only foresee good stuff!
